PJCC to Host Family Health and Fitness Day

The Peninsula Jewish Community Center is teaming up with Kaiser Permanente and the Foster City Parks and Recreation Department to present popular annual event.

The Peninsula Jewish Community Center will host its fourth annual Family Health and Fitness Day on Sunday.

The event, which is co-sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and the Foster City Parks and Recreation Department, is geared towards families with children ages 2-10, typically attracts about 2,000 visitors.

The featured events include:

  • Kaiser Permanente’s Educational Theatre Program’s All Star Mascot Show.
  • A fitness-themed games and activities.
  • Free teddy bear checkups by Kaiser Permanente doctors at the popular “teddy bear clinic.”
  • A fingerprinting station for kids hosted by Foster City police.
  • A jump house family gym and nutritional cooking demonstrations.
  • A farmers’ market.

A limited supply of free teddy bears and frisbees will be given away at the event.  

The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., with the farmer’s market opening at noon.
