Foster City Man Wins Big in World Series of Poker
Andrew Prock, a software engineer, won more than $142,000 as the runner-up of the world-famous tournament.
Out of 166 entrants, Foster City software engineer Andrew Prock took second place in the World Series of Poker tournament (WSOP) in Las Vegas on June 9.
According to a Vegas-based gaming website, Prock took home $127,773 as the runner-up winner on the last day of the tournament. His final total over the three-day tournament was $142,501.
The tournament took place over three days at the Rio All-Suite Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. The game was $5,000-limit Texas Hold 'Em.

The first-place finisher was Benjamin Scholl, a 26-year-old financial analyst from Trappe, Penn., who walked away with $206,760.
According to Bluff Magazine online, which profiles professional poker players, Prock, who is originally from Minneapolis, has been playing professionally for more than 10 years. Before his second place win in this year's WSOP, his biggest win was in the 2002 WSOP, when he won more than $64,000.
