The Balance for Success
Foster City needs a balance of environment, financial and social considerations for success as the community develops and redevelops.
Awesome day today. I met with a motivated and extremely dynamic Foster City community leader Joanne Bohigan. She has a vision for a sustainable Foster City that fully encompasses all aspects of what it takes to build a sustainable and vibrant community in these challenging times.
A balance of environment, financial, and social considerations is what is needed as we as a community decide how, where, and what to develop or redevelop. It was refreshing to speak to someone with the knowledge, skill-sets, and experience to make a difference.
Joanne currently serves on the Foster City Environmental Sustainability Task Force and will have an impact as we as a community amend the General Plan. As chair on the Park and Recreation Committee I will invite her to our October meeting, and hope you will all attend.

Our community needs to foster small business development that is based on a balance of financial and communal consideration if we are to build new revenue streams to offset the structural deficit.
