Looking Forward to the Future

Merit based Leadership. We need you!

The whirlwind of the past few months is now over, providing a quiet respite from the kinetic election process. The campaign process was invigorating, energizing and in equal parts exhausting and challenging. It was a time to meet and speak with Foster City and its families, seniors, and businesses to listen and hear about what Foster City means to them and what they hope it can be in the future.

I was excited to hear about mutuality for the vision of our City that was shared by our residents. We all love the small town feeling and the quality of life that is Foster City. We all want to insure that our future delivery of services in secured by sound financial policies and augmented revenue streams.

I am excited to have been seated on the council on December 5, and look forward to continuing the conversations we started during this campaign about our community with all our residents. I will continue to reach out to all to hear your thoughts and concerns as we navigate the treacherous waters of these challenging economic times. We as a City and a community need to call upon you to offer service and advice. We need passionate and motivated individuals with expertise to serve on our Citizen Committees, Task Forces, Service Clubs, and Chamber of Commerce.

I would enjoy speaking with you as we chart the course of our future and the future of our children and families. I believe in Leadership that is the product of merit and ability. Our new leaders are being developed now and are building the skill sets that will insure that our City remains vital and successful.
