Family Matters in Foster City

Whether it is a PTA, church, service club, or sports activity, our families go the extra mile to ensure that our children have an extraordinary experience.

Foster City is home to a diverse group of families representing the global nature or the new American community. Families flock to our community for its reputation for safety, quality education, and pristine parks and neighborhoods.

The community continues to evolve to meet the new challenges of the ever-changing demographics. As in bigger cities, first the residents change and then the supporting services, businesses and activities adapt to meet the needs of the populace.

Over the coming months, I want this blog to serve as a sounding board for our families. Together we will explore what our community is and can become. We will explore where we are and where we can be.

As I searched around the Peninsula for the optimum place to start a family and build a business, I decided to join several of my relatives who lived here in Foster City. My wife and I were attracted to the quiet and cleanliness of the streets. We welcomed this after living in San Francisco. We sold our house and started our family and business.

But as with most adventures, you never truly understand their value initially. What we came to realize was the families are what make Foster City unique. The sense of community and willingness to participate are the hallmarks of our community. Whether it is a PTA, church, service club, or sports activity, our families go the extra mile to ensure that our children have an extraordinary experience.
