Foster City Rotarians Hosting Halloween 'Safe Haven'

"Halloween Safe Streets" a Foster City tradition that spans four decades.

Continuing a tradition that spans four decades, the Foster City Rotary Club will do its part to make this Halloween as safe for kids as it is fun.

The Rotary Club is sponsoring its 26th Annual Halloween Safe Streets tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Organizers expect about 3,000 to 5,000 kids to attend the event, which will be held in Farragut Park area in the neighborhood surrounded by Halsey, Farragut and Beach Park Boulevards.

“This tradition has continued to be a ‘safe haven’ for children to participate in Halloween festivities knowing that the treats were supplied directly from candy manufacturers through the generous monetary donations of the local Rotarians, community individuals and businesses,” Foster City Rotary Club President Mary Bates told Patch.

Parking for this event will be available at the Edgewater Place Shopping Center on the streets west of Edgewater Boulevard or on Catamaran Street north of Beach Park Boulevard.

Participants are asked to enter through Farragut Park.
