Truck Hits Crossing Gate, Slows Caltrain Service
The incident occurred Wednesday morning.
Caltrain service was delayed Wednesday morning after a truck hit a crossing gate along the tracks in San Bruno, a Caltrain spokeswoman said.
The truck hit and damaged the gate at San Bruno Avenue at 6:53 a.m., and spokeswoman Christine Dunn said that forced trains to travel through the crossing at reduced speeds until the gate could be repaired.
Crews fixed the gate shortly after 8:30 a.m., she said, and normal service resumed.

Several southbound trains were affected, including trains No. 210, 216, 312 and 314, Dunn said.
A Tweet sent out by the official Caltrain Twitter account, @Caltrain_News, which Dunn said was launched this week, said the gate "took longer to repair than we had hoped."
