POLL: Will the Murder of Klaus Gachter Be Solved?

Tell us what you think in our poll.

Today marks two months since the muder of Foster City resident Klaus Gachter, the city’s first homicide in nearly six years.

"We do not have anything to report at this time about this case," police Capt. Jon Froomin, who is commanding the probe, told Patch on Wednesday. "Our detectives are continuing to investigate this case, which remains on the top of our priority list."

The department has assigned five full-time investigators – its only three detectives plus two additional officers – to solve the killing of 71-year-old Gachter, whose body was found in his home on the 600 block of Waterbury Lane on Dec. 16, 2011.
