Off-Leash Hours Available for Dog Owners

Dogs may be off-leash during all open hours inside the Foster City Dog Park.

The Parks and Recreation Department continues to offer off-leash hours for dogs at several city parks.

Boothbay, Catamaran, Edgewater, Farragut, and Sea Cloud Parks have off-leash hours from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. daily. Sea Cloud Park has extended hours from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. daily.

"During designated off-leash hours, dogs may be exercised off-leash but dog owners must remain in control of their dogs at all times and must clean up after their dogs," the city said in a statement.

Dogs may also be off-leash inside the Foster City Dog Park, located at the corner of Bounty Drive and Foster City Boulevard.

"The Department of Parks and Recreation asks that dog owners who use the parks be courteous, kind and respectful of other park users and follow the leash law," the city said.

For more information about off-leash hours, please visit the City of Foster City website, www.fostercity.org, or contact Director of Parks and Recreation Kevin Miller at (650) 286-3388 or kmiller@fostercity.org.

"must remain in control of their dogs at all times". Like that really happens. People just run over after the dog knocks over a kid and says "Fido is just really friendly lol".

If you go, remember to bring fresh water. Your dog will really be running. Small Ships Adriatic

The parks in Foster City are a gift. The people that maintain these parks are the hardest working people in this community. Weather permitting I take my terrior to the dog park for a short time in the morning before heading out to work. The people I've met are pretty nice. Today we had a Birthday Party for a long time dog park visitor Lillian who turned 90. There's a picnic area in the area just outside the enclosed doogie runs, and we had cake, sodas, and balloons. Everyone gave a few bucks to help out. It's an awesome community. Happy Birthday Lillian!!

That's really great. Happy birthday Lillian. How old would that be in dog years? http://eurorivercruises.com
