Tonight's City Council Meeting

Tonight, Aug. 1, 2011, starting at 6:30 p.m. will be the one and only meeting of the City Council this month.  Traditionally, the first meeting of July and last meeting in August are cancelled so that the council members and senior staff can have some vacation.  Thus, this will be the only chance this month to bring an issue before the council.  That may be important as the nominations for elections close on Aug. 17.  There will also be some discussion on an issue relating to the state's threatened action against redevelopment agencies including our own Community Development Agency which has been hit with multi-million dollar payments to the state over the past few years.  I hope to see interested residents there.
