It's 'Tebow Time' in Foster City

Foster City-based nutritional supplement company and N.Y. Jets backup QB team up for marketing blitz.

The Bay Area is abuzz with Giants Fever with the World Series about to get underway.

But in Foster City, it's Tebow Time.

A nutritional supplement company based in the Peninsula's lagoon city on Tuesday announced a partnership with the most hyped bench-warmer in the history of professional sports.

FRS Healthy Performance hopes to squeeze some marketing juice out of its relationship with the former Heisman Trophy winner who last season led the Denver Broncos on an improbable journey to the AFC championship game.

The FRS/Tebow campaign includes commemorative packaging on FRS products and a "Time with Tebow" sweepstakes for a trip for two to meet Tebow.

Tebow has been an FRS pitchman since his collegiate playing days at Florida in 2010.

"First and foremost in any product I endorse, I want to believe in the product, and I believe in FRS,"  Tebow said in a prepared statement.

The "Time with Tebow" campaign will feature social media promotion of the Tim Tebow Foundation, a group that has built playrooms for pediatric patients in America, and provided for children in need around the world.

"In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Tim is an outstanding role model and philanthropist," FRS spokesman Matt Kohler said in a statement.

The "Time with Tebow" campaign will run through April 30.
