Foster City Company Reaches a Benchmark

TeraRecon passes 9,000 iNtuition licenses.

The website www.dotmed.com reported that Foster City-based TeraRecon, the largest dedicated provider of advanced visualization solutions for medical imaging, announced late last week that more than 9,000 iNtuition licenses have been deployed globally.

"TeraRecon has enjoyed dramatic growth in the number of iNtuition licenses deployed with the recent introduction of iNtuition CLOUD, to complement the iNtuition UNLIMITED licenses that are deployed in imaging facilities around the world" Robert Taylor, Ph.D, TeraRecon President & CEO, said in a statement.

Since its founding in 1997 by Dr. Motoaki Saito, TeraRecon has become a worldwide leader in advanced imaging and 3D visualization techniques.

iNtuition technology provides advanced visualization for the medical industry through several platforms. The Unlimited licenses, which carry the only truly technology capable of advanced visualization solution, provides for growth and extends the capabilities of workflow.

Dr. Saito also founded San Mateo-based PreXion, an imaging system for denistry, and has served as Chairman of the company since 2007. He was named CEO of the company last year.

In 2010, TeraRecon was awarded the “Company of the Year” award for European Advanced Visualization Applications, and the “North American Growth Leadership of the Year Award” for Advanced Visualization and Clinical Applications, both by respected independent market research firm Frost and Sullivan.
