Facebook, County to Host Free Small Business Workshop
The workshop, to be held in Foster City, will provide small business owners and entrepreneurs with the tools to leverage the world's largest social network to grow their business and compete online.
Representatives from Facebook will join the Redwood City San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce to host a workshop called "Facebook’s Small Business Roadshow" on Friday, Aug. 16, in Foster City.
This free workshop will provide small business owners and entrepreneurs with the tools to leverage the world’s largest social network to grow their business and compete online.
In the state of California alone, Facebook has enabled over 380 million connections between local businesses and people, according to workshop officials.

Facebook and the Redwood City San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce will also welcome special guest U.S. Congresswoman Jackie Speier (CA-14), who will be in attendance and deliver remarks to kick-off the workshop.
During the workshop, small business owners and entrepreneurs will learn everything from building a free Facebook page for their business, to using their page to attract new customers and maintain connections with current ones.

Facebook's Small Business Roadshows help local small business owners throughout the country, from beginners to experienced users, use Facebook to build a community around their business and reach new customers among Facebook’s 1 billion + users.
There will also be a drawing for a $2500 advertising coupon at the end of the workshop.
