Free Haircuts For Breast Cancer Survivors

J.C. Penney hair salons are offering free haircuts to breast cancer survivors during October.


In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month J.C. Penney hair salons nationwide are offering a free haircut and style to breast cancer survivors during October.

J.C. Penney salons near the Peninsula are:

  • Tanforan S/C, 1122 El Camino Real, San Bruno, (650) 873-4100
  • Eastridge Mall, 2230 Eastridge Loop, San Jose, (408) 238-030
  • NewPark Mall, 500 NewPark Mall, Newark, (510) 796-6180
  • Southland Mall, 340 Southland Mall, Hayward, (510) 783-0300

Survivors can visit their local jcp salon during operating hours for a complimentary cut, styling tips and a Sephora gift card good for a free mini lipstick and express service to complete the look.

Additionally, jcp will donate $1 for every free haircut it gives, up to $50,000, to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

What about other cancer survivors? This is where other cancer survivors feel isolated and not cared about. Cancer is cancer no matter where it's located. Every form can kill

Sarah, our intent was not to alienate people who have survived other kinds of cancer. Every type of cancer is wretched. I would not wish that experience upon anyone. This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month, which is why we published a piece that focuses on the things people are doing for breast cancer survivors.
