PJCC Set to 'Come Together' for Benefit at CSM

Saturday night event to feature performance of critically acclaimed Beatles tribute band.

A Peninsula Jewish Community Center Beatles-themed fundraiser will feature the performance of a critically acclaimed Beatles tribute band.

The PJCC’s annual “With a Little Help From Our Friends” benefit will feature a full-length performance by “White Album Ensemble,” a Santa Cruz-based band that includes former members of Doobie Brothers, Quicksilver, the Little River Band, among others.

The Ensemble will perform Beatles classics in support of the non-profit PJCC’s drive to raise funds for early childhood education, transportation and other services for seniors, health and wellness, and financial assistance for youth and family programs.

“Guests can expect a fabulous dessert reception and exciting live auction, but the highlight is sure to be the concert,” PJCC spokeswoman Eileen Mitchell said.

“White Album Ensemble isn’t just a Beatles tribute or cover band. They perform each song with authenticity, as they imagine the Beatles themselves would have sounded using today’s technology.”

The event will be held on Saturday at 6:30 at the College of San Mateo Theatre (1700 West Hillsdale Boulevard).

Admission is $100. To purchase tickets call (650) 378-2707.
