Fourth of July Parking and Directions

Directions

Before 5 p.m.:

• From US-101: Take 101 to 92 East towards Hayward.  Then follow directions from CA-92 as listed below.
• From CA-92: Take the Foster City Blvd. exit and turn left onto Metro Center Blvd. and get in the right lane. Turn right onto Foster City Boulevard and head south to East Hillsdale Boulevard. Make a right onto East Hillsdale Boulevard and go straight until you see the sign directing you to the parking garage on your right.

After 5 p.m.:

• From US-101: Take 101 to 92 East towards Hayward.  Then follow the directions from CA-92 as listed below.
• From CA 92: Take the Foster City Boulevard, exit and turn right onto Metro Center Boulevard. At the next stop light, make a left onto Shell Boulevard and head south until you see the signs directing you to the Parkside Tower Parking Garage.

A large turnout is expected, especially in light of the Redwood City's cancelled fireworks.

"Fourth of July historically turns out a large crowd for the full day of activities and events that lead up to the 9:30 p.m. fireworks show," organizers said. "The community is strongly encouraged to walk, bike, and carpool to the Fourth of July celebration."

The Foster City Lions Club will be collecting $10 per car upon entry at Parkside Tower Parking Garage, located on the corner of East Hillsdale Boulevard and Shell Boulevard. Handicap parking will be available in the Library Community Center parking lot and the City Hall parking lot.

"One hundred percent of parking proceeds will go to offset the Fourth of July celebration expenses," organizers said in a statement. "We appreciate your support to make this free community event possible each year."

Note: The free SamTrans fireworks shuttle service which has been provided in the past for the fireworks will not be available due to regulatory changes this year.
