Calling All Artists!

The PJCC is looking for local artists who would like to have their work displayed in its second juried Community Art Show in the fall.

If you're a local artist who's looking to get your work out there, in front of people, then the (PJCC) in Foster City wants to talk to you.

The PJCC is gearing up to host its 2012 Community Art Show this fall. From October to December, selected pieces of art will be on display in the center's art gallery for all to see, as well as be juried by a committee.

"Our first community art show in 2010 revealed many extremely talented sculptors, painters and photographers in our midst,” said Kimberly Gordon, PJCC's cultural arts director. “This is why the PJCC is so excited to once again use our art gallery to showcase their unique and creative works of art.”

Artists of all levels who are 18 years of age and older are invited to submit their artwork for consideration to be part of the Community Art Show.

Entries must be postmarked no later than Wednesday, August 1 and must include the PJCC's application form, a CD with an image of the work or works, and a nonrefundable fee of $20 for one submission, $25 for two or $30 for three. A maximum of three submissions per artist with one application form is allowed.

Notification of acceptance or rejection will be mailed to all artists on Sept. 12, and accepted art work must then be hand-delivered to the PJCC no later than Oct. 4.

For more information on the Community Art Show, including submission details and printable application forms, visit the PJCC's Community Art Show website.
