Another Choice for Labor Day Weekend: Millbrae Art & Wine Festival

Kids' activities, artist and food booths, live entertainment and more. Plus, you can take Caltrain right to the festival's front door.

The 42nd Annual Millbrae Art & Wine Festival rolls into town this weekend, channeling the spirit of Mardi Gras and giving residents and visitors one last hurrah for the summer.

Music, art, food and more are expected to draw massive crowds to Millbrae for the City’s biggest event of the year.

Downtown Broadway between Victoria and Meadow Glen will transform into a sea of colorful tents and cheerful people, enjoying one of the last summer weekends with friends and fun.

The festival features 250 artists displaying handcrafted work, a microbeer tasting tent, a classic car show, an organic and green product showcase, a home and garden exhibit, and health and wellness displays.

Artists and craftmakers will sell goods in a wide array of mediums, such as sculpture, painting, jewelry, ceramics and textiles. Attendees can spend hours browsing the one-of-a-kind items.

The street fair also boasts a wide array of food, including artisan specialties like gourmet fudge, pickled garlic, exotic jams and more. Traditional festival food like grilled corn-on-the-cob, garlic fries, Philly cheesesteaks, kettle corn and more will also be available for the hungry visitor.

The family-friendly event also features activities for children at the Kids’ Stage and the Kids’ Playland.

Residents and visitors can enjoy all the art and food the festival has to offer with a great soundtrack of live performances featuring nine bands ranging in styles from disco to rock-and-roll to swing.

Admission is free for the festival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Free shuttle service to and from the Millbrae BART/Caltrain station runs every 20 minutes during the festival.
