Who's Who in Foster City: Robert Pedro

Robert Pedro is a Foster City resident who works as a realtor to help people buy and sell homes in San Mateo County.

Why did you get into the real estate business?

I just always loved it.  In high school, I knew I wanted to be a real estate broker.  My parents weren't involved as a broker, but they were involved in investing real estate and that's what got me interested in this line of work.

When you're not working, what kinds of things do you like to do?

Basically, I like chasing my two kids around, soccer and camping.  That pretty much sums it up.

Do you have a favorite park that you like to go to with your family?

We like Gull Park and Marlin Park.  Those are the two parks on both ends of our street.

Do you have a Foster City memory that stands out in your mind as being particularly special?

Fourth of July fireworks.  For all family and friends, we tend to host the Fourth of July party because we live in Foster City.  They all come over and we all walk down to Marlin Park to watch the fireworks.

Are you a sports fan? Do you have a favorite baseball and football team?

I support the A's, but mainly Giants.  For football, 49ers… I have season tickets.

If there was one thing you could change about Foster City, what do you think that would be?

A quality high school.  Public or private, I don't care.

Is there anything else you would want people to know about you?

I was born and raised in Redwood City.  I'm an Eagle Scout.  I was in the Marines reserves for about 11 years and I graduated from San Francisco State with a business degree with a concentration in real estate.  I also like to consider myself an active citizen, as far as attending city council and chamber meetings.
