On Wednesday, local Rabbis gathered at the (PJCC) in Foster City to engage in a discussion about the well-known Biblical story, The Binding of Isaac. The tale recounts how Abraham is asked to sacrifice his son Isaac in the name of faith.

Moderated by Rabbi Lavey Derby, the PJCC's director of Jewish life, the "Rabbi Roundtable" discussed the meaning and relevance of the familiar tale, sharing their personal beliefs about the journey of faith, hope, personal autonomy, and the nature of God.

The community event drew almost 100 guests who enjoyed the lively and enlightening discussion.
