Pet of the Week: Binky

Check out one of the pets available for adoption from the Peninsula Humane Society

Meet Binky a 5-year-old altered male Chihuahua and Pug mix. He is a gentle flower type that needs confidence building. He is looking for an owner that has prior experience with timid dogs and who understands to move slowly in new situations. He can live with children in the household if supervised. If there are resident dogs, Binky needs to meet them at the shelter first to see how they get a long. Part of his adoption requirement includes mandatory obedience training which will help him bond to my new owner. His smaller size means he's ideal for apartment living.

To visit Binky, go to the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA. The shelter is open for adoptions Monday through Friday, 11am to 7pm; and weekends from 11am to 6pm. The Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA is located at 12 Airport Blvd., San Mateo next to Coyote Point Park. For directions and information, call 650-340-7022 or visit www.PHS-SPCA.org
