Free Document Shredding for Residents on Saturday

Protect your personal and business information by getting sensitive documents shredded for free in town this Saturday.

The City of Foster City is teaming up with Recology San Mateo County to host a Free "Community Shred Event" this Saturday, Aug. 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of , 610 Foster City Blvd. 

Residents of Foster City may bring up to three file storage boxes (10”x12”x15”) of personal paper documents to be shredded for free.  Residents should be prepared to show proof of Foster City residency.

Shredding sensitive documents is one way to reduce your risk of becoming a victim of identity theft. Community shredding events give individuals the opportunity to have confidential documents destroyed on-site, free of charge, whether it is small business documents you no longer need or personal papers you want to safely destroy.
