Community Members Put Their Faith in Action

Join in the third annual Faith in Action Day.

This weekend, members of First Presbyterian Church in Burlingame, joined by other community members, will disperse throughout the county, lending a hand to numerous community improvement projects during Faith in Action Day.

“If you’re looking for a way to serve your community, we feel certain you will want to join in one of the many hands-on projects we have planned for Saturday, October 27,” said Rev. Henry Hansen in a statement.

Hansen directs the team responsible for planning the church’s third annual Faith in Action Day.

There are volunteer opportunities for community members of all ages, from making blankets, to cooking a barbecue for homeless residents of Safe Harbor Shelter, to visiting seniors at nursing homes, to Habitat for Humanity construction projects. The projects last from two to six hours.

For a full list of opportunities, visit the First Presbyterian website.

Contact Jackie Gainer at 650-342-0875 ext. 226 or jgainer@burlpres.org to sign up.
